A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a work zone traffic shift for ongoing rehabilitation work along the Audubon Parkway in Henderson County on Wednesday, August 19. During the initial round of rehabilitation work along the Audubon between mile point 0.0 and mile point 8.5, two-way traffic ran along the eastbound lanes to allow work along the westbound lanes. Recently, traffic was shifted to move a single lane of westbound traffic to run along the westbound lanes with one lane running along the eastbound lanes. Starting sometime Wednesday, the contractor will establish two-way traffic running along the westbound side of the Audubon Parkway. Through the day Wednesday motorists should be alert for changes in traffic control required to facilitate this phased shift of traffic. This will remove all traffic from the Audubon Parkway eastbound lanes to allow rehabilitation work from mile point 0.0 to mile point 8.5. The project includes erosion control and drainage improvements, as well as concrete pavement upgrades along this section. Hall Contracting is the prime contractor on this $12.29 million highway improvement project. The anticipated completion date is October, 31, 2015.
