50 Before 50…..

I lost my Dachshund dog Sunny of 16 years in 2020. It was a tough year.
For Everyone! But does everyone feel like things all happen for a reason. Because I do! I knew Sunny was getting sick and when March rolled around and I had to work from home, I saw and heard how much my poor boy was suffering. Let me go ahead and tell you this might get a little sad but only for a minute. I didn’t want to admit it because he fought so hard to act like he was still 2 again. Even up to the day we said – today is the day.
We took him to Panther Creek Park like we always did. And I swear it was like he was a puppy again playing like no other, but he knew, we knew.
I have to stop writing because this was a lot harder to write than I thought.
So we were not the best Dog parents. Sunny decided that while we were gone to work all the time, he would have accidents on the carpet.
So this happened one too many times in 16 years.
Bucket List…..GET NEW FLOORING
So after an attempt of say multiple trips to Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, Carpets Unlimited. Getting every sample I could grab…
Everyone tells us we can do it ourselves. It’s not that easy people.
We decided to go with an Independent floor guy Jon Quick. After spending a week in our home, I see how he takes such a dedication in his work! Not just a come in and lay the floor down kind of crew. You can see from the detailed work he does that he takes great pride in what his God given talent is.
He comes over to give us a quote and suggest that we look at a floor at Mendards called Fieldstone. I love it!! I also highly recommend talking with David in Menards Flooring Dept. I love my new floor pics below.
It matches my new Cat Opie.
I can say this now, but home remodel is no fun!!! I literally had my friends calling me to ask what was going on, as they drive by for weeks and see a sheet hanging from my Window. That sheet was up for over 10 plus weeks as I waited for flooring, paint, what blinds to pick out the list goes on….
