DaBaby has responded to the backlash he’s received for name-dropping former Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa on his recently released “Beat Box Freestyle.”
The rapper included the lyric “JoJo Siwa, b***h” while holding up a photo of the 17-year-old YouTuber on his phone and Twitter users jumped on it immediately.
Mero from the show Desus and Mero tweeted, “YO WHAT DID I MISS DID JOJO SIWA DUNK ON DABABY AT THE NICKELODEON GAMES OR SOME SHIT???" "WHY HE OD ON HER LIKE THAT?"
DaBaby cleared things up by addressing Siwa directly on Twitter, writing, “@itsjojosiwa my 3 year old princess is your number 1 fan. I bought her every product you have out. She think she you. Don’t let em trick you into thinking id ever have a problem with you. My word play just went over their heads. All love on my end shawty, Keep shinning!”
