It’s a case of whether or not a dog is being mistreated that may land a Breckinridge County woman in trouble. Media partner 14News says they began getting calls a few weeks ago from residents saying a dog named Oscar in Central City was being neglected. Calls were also made to Muhlenberg County authorities. But reportedly police and the Humane Society went to the home of the owner, Craig Keys, and say they found the dog was being cared for. Keys says Oscar had been hit by a truck two years ago and was injured. When she received messages on social media about Oscar, Melissa Fitterer says she went to the Keys’ home and took Oscar from the yard, then to a vet for treatment. Now Fitterer faces trespassing and theft charges for taking the dog.
