The comedic new music video for Corey Taylor‘s single “Samantha’s Gone” stars several familiar faces, including Vanderpump Rules' Tom Sandoval, actor Dean Cameron (Summer School, Straight Outta Compton), and Steel Panther, to name a few. The video shoot itself serves as the set for the clip.
Sandoval plays the role of the lead singer of an indie-rock band, whose bandmates include Greg Grunberg (Star Wars movies), Latin musician Travis Miguel, guitarist Ace Von Johnson (Faster Pussycat, L.A. Guns), and musician Jonah Nimroy.
Taylor told Consequence of Sound, “The video for ‘Samantha’s Gone’ served two purposes: making fun of so-called ‘indie rock’ bands and getting all my friends together to hang out and have a good time. We all went back and forth between having fun and social distancing . . .”
“Samantha's Gone” is included on Taylor's debut solo album, CMFT, which was released in October.
