LIL WAYNE SUED BY EX MANAGER FOR $20 MILLION: According to TMZ, Lil Wayne is being sued by his ex manager for $20 million. In the court docs, Ronald Sweeney said that Wayne hired him in 2005 to help renegotiate his deal with Cash Money. Wayne ended up settling the Cash Money lawsuit in May 2018 but Sweeney claimed he only received a few payments from the settlement and nowhere near what he says his full cut should be.
ZOEY DOLLAZ SHOT OUTSIDE MIAMI STRIP CLUB: Rapper Zoey Dollaz was shot several times outside of a strip club in Miami on Wednesday evening (December 9th). According to TMZ, the rapper was talking into the club when he was hit several times. At press time, hip hop Journalist Tony M. Centeno said that Dollaz is in stable condition. He tweeted, “My sources say Zoey is doing fine after he was shot multiple times while on his way to Booby Trap in Miami last night.” Earlier in the evening, the rapper attended Teyana Taylor's birthday party.
MO3 MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED: The man who allegedly shot and killed rapper Mo3 in Dallas last month has been arrested. According to TMZ, 21-year-old Kewon Dontrell White was taken into federal custody for prohibited person in possession of a firearm. He’s also facing a murder charge.
GRANDMASTER FLASH & THE FURIOUS FIVE TO RECEIVE 2021 GRAMMY LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD: Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five are set to honored with the 2021 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. On Thursday (December 10th), Rahiem posted an Instagram post announcing the news, saying, “I just learned Grandmaster Flash & the Furious 5 will be receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2021 Grammys.” In a statement, he added, “I didn’t know the Grammys knew we existed, but it’s very nice we weren’t forgotten and it’s a tremendous honor. It’s still sinking in though, so when the feeling finally hits me, a celebration of some sort will commence laughs.”
