Owensboro High School rising junior quarterback Gavin Wimsatt has seen another national accolade roll in, as Rivals has officially bumped him to a 4 star with a 5.9 overall rating. Rivals has not officially ranked their class of 2022, but most expect Wimsatt to fall inside the official “Rivals 100” once the list is released. Currently, Wimsatt has 11 FBS offers and most expect that number to keep rising in the near future.
Owensboro is set to kick off the season at home on September 11th vs Apollo. Wimsatt was also rated a 4 star by 247 last month, and is ranked #37 overall nationally by 247. ESPN currently has Wimsatt rated a 4 star, and the number 215th overall rated player in the nation in the class of 2020.
