Help is on the way. The $2 trillion emergency economic package passed through the Senate 96 to 0 on Wednesday and the House is expected to follow on Friday. Millions of U.S. citizens are needing financial help.
What you should know:
If you made less than $75,000 in 2019 you will be eligible for the full payment of $1200. Couples who filed jointly and made less than $150k will get $2400. $500.00 per child will also be received.
Checks will be sent out within three weeks. Multiple payments will not be made. If you have elected direct deposit on your IRS tax forms in 2018/2019, that is where payments will be deposited.
As long as you have a Social Security number, you should be eligible to apply for the relief payments under the new system created by the IRS.
