Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes is no longer on the state Board of Elections. Governor Bevin signed legislation yesterday stripping her of that role. The Republican-controlled legislature approved the bill last week after Grimes had been accused of abusing the office by a bipartisan group of election officials and county clerks.
