The state’s top educator is calling for voucher schools to be LGBT-friendly. State Superintendent Jennifer McCormick says any school receiving taxpayer money should be inclusive of all students and staff, regardless of sexual orientation. Her statement comes a few weeks after Roncalli High School put a guidance counselor on paid leave for being in a same-sex marriage. Around 350 Hoosier students attended the Catholic school last year using vouchers that translate to about one-point-five million in tax dollars.
