The Kentucky Center for Statistics says the unemployment rate in the Commonwealth edged up slightly in August. The agency says the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate last month was four-point-four-percent, compared to four-point-three-percent in July. The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for August is three-point-nine-percent, which is the same as in July.
