Perry County Sheriff, Alan Malone says, be on the watch for a scam involving FOP Fundraising.
Malone says someone is posing to be from the FOP and they are sending out Emails asking for donations.
Malone says they have other ways of raising the funds through the Fraternal Order of Police.
One example is a Jeep ride happening October 6th. Malone says the money raised will go to programs like Shop with a Cop, Camp with a Cop, and other programs.
If you want to join in on the ride, Malone says to just show up to Eagles Bluff Overlook Park in Cannelton, Indiana between 10am to noon. Ride starts at noon and should be over by 4PM.
