Through social media sources, we have found out that the Help Office in Owensboro needs the community’s help! They’re running out of canned goods!
The Help Office of Owensboro, Inc. is a Christian organization founded by a group of churches, lay people, and clergy in 1972. Their mission is to assist the least fortunate of our community with food, clothing and emergency assistance in a meaningful and compassionate way.
Over 100 volunteers give their time on a weekly basis to serve as interviewers, work in the clothing closets and to assist in our Food Pantry.
In 2016, the Help Office Owensboro, INC. served over 6,800 clients and distributed over 81,000 meals to adults and families.
Financial support is provided through donations from churches, businesses, organizations, individuals and foundations.
The Cromwell Radio Group’s mission to help the Help Office with a “fill the studio canned goods drive” here at the radio ranch at 1115 Tamarack Road suite 500 in Owensboro.
Drop off canned goods like peanut butter and jelly, canned soup, canned fruit, and more between the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
You may also drop off items at the Help Office at 1316 west 4th street in Owensboro. For further information, you can call (270) 685-4971.
The Help Office is open M-T-Th-F 9AM-12PM and donations are welcome during these hours. Client check-in is 9:00-10:30 AM.
