People will be taking to the roadways in big numbers across Kentucky this Fourth of July holiday and police want to make the trip as safe as possible. State, county and local cops will be out in force, implementing the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign. Nationwide, nearly half the crash deaths last year involved a driver with a blood alcohol level almost twice the legal limit. The Kentucky State Police has a smartphone app and a toll free number for people who want to report a driver who appears drunk or impaired.
