A joint operation by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations and General Investigations Units led to a major drug bust Thursday morning in Owensboro. Acting on a search warrant targeting a home on East 3rd Street after months of undercover work, deputies seized trafficking quantities of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and evidence of distribution. Four suspects were apprehended, including James Clifford Belcher and Daniel Scott French, both facing multiple drug trafficking charges. Mariah Ann Smith and Whitney Nicole Belcher were also taken into custody on outstanding bench warrants. All suspects are currently held at the Daviess County Detention Center.
