Traffic on Interstate 165 came to a halt for two hours Monday afternoon following a three-vehicle collision involving a Daviess County Sheriff’s Office patrol cruiser. The incident occurred around 2:54 pm as a deputy was out on foot, attempting to remove debris from the roadway. Authorities say a northbound Toyota Tacoma had slowed behind the cruiser, but a Kenworth semi failed to stop, hitting both the Tacoma and the patrol car. Despite all three vehicles sustaining significant damage, no injuries were reported. The Kentucky State Police is handling the investigation.
