(NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE) – If you are going to win in front of the hometown crowd, then you had better check all the boxes along the way. Dawson Sutton (Lebanon, TN) took care of that by being the first Tennessee driver to win the All American 400 since Mason Mingus in 2019.
Driving a Tennessee Volunteer Orange Car, Sutton made the most of the weekend by winning the pole and the race, becoming only the eighth driver to do so in the forty-year history of the race.
Sutton’s Rackley Roofing WAR Machine led 93 laps and was among the top three all day long. He took the lead for the final time on lap 209 and never looked back.
The victory was the third ASA STARS Tour National win for Dawson Sutton and his second this season. Sandwiched between those wins was a second-place run at the Winchester 400 in October.
Sutton easily held off rookie Carson Brown (New London, NC), who earned top rookie honors in the ASA STARS National Tour.
Sutton also became the first driver to win the Glass City 200 and the All American 400 in the same season.
While Sutton dominated the late stages of the race, 2025 ASA STARS National Tour Champion Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) led the early stages and finished off his season by leading 202 laps in the All American 400 and 958 on the season. However, the victory could not be captured today after handling issues left him out of the top 10.
Derek Thorn (Bakersfield, CA) led at the lap 200 mark and posted a third-place finish, his best since the April 5th race at Dominion Raceway (VA).
Rounding out the top five were fellow Lebanon, TN driver Dylan Fetcho, and Stephen Nasse (Pinellas Park, FL), who scored his fifth top five in the All American 400.
The 2025 season is complete for the ASA STARS National Tour. November 22nd will be the make-up of the 1/4 mile portion of the All American 400 weekend.
