A dramatic incident unfolded in the Sorgho community of western Daviess County when authorities responded to reports of Zachary Hudson causing a disturbance on Woodland Drive. Deputies say Hudson, 33, was attempting to enter residences while yelling and banging on doors. As officers approached, Hudson fled to a nearby gas station, where he resisted arrest and continued erratic behavior. Deputies eventually subdued him after a tense struggle, discovering methamphetamine and a handgun at the scene. Two deputies suffered minor injuries and were treated for potential exposure. Hudson remains hospitalized under guard, facing multiple charges including assault, possession of meth, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
