(Owensboro, KY): Windy Hollow Speedway was host to the 3rd Annual Nicky & Earl Hayden Memorial Race on Saturday, October 11th in the hometown of the Hayden family.
In the early days of the Hayden family’s dirt bike racing careers, Earl Hayden, the family patriarch, would rent the Speedway for his children to practice and test on.
The track is now the location for the memorial race to pay tribute to the World Champion Nicky Hayden and his father, Earl Hayden.
The event was an RPM Promotions event that was promoted by company owner, Jeff Hiers. The first annual event was held at the Daviess County Fairgrounds before transitioning to Windy Hollow Speedway in 2024. 6.9% of the event proceeds are donated to the Nicky Hayden Memorial Foundation.
Drivers from across the country converged on the 3/8 mile oval to pay tribute to these racing legends and battle in their hometown.
