(Owensboro, KY): It was a picture-perfect weekend for drag racing at Windy Hollow Dragway.
The action kicked off with Friday Night Fun which included the Windy Hollow Outlaw Shootout on Friday, September 5th. The event included test and tune, grudge races, a trophy race and the Outlaw Shootout which was a ‘Run What Ya Brung’ No Prep event.
In the Trophy Race, it was 13-year-old Jaxson Boling who took home the win. Friday night’s win was the second of the season for Boling. With the win, it also gives Boling a ten-point advantage over Jerry Martin for the Friday Night Trophy Points Standings.
In the Outlaw Shootout, it was Drew Edwards taking home the win and cashing in on the $500 payday in his Ford Mustang.
On Saturday, Windy Hollow hosted bracket racers for the WDRA Summit Sportsman Bracket Racing Series.
The marquee event was the $1000 to Win for the Pro Class. The event saw 34 entries into the Pro Class. At the light, it was Kenneth Boucherie with the win over Eastview Kentucky’s Diane Ratliff. It was Boucherie’s second win of the night after also claiming the win in the Gambler’s Race with the best package.

Windy Hollow Dragway will be back in action on Friday, September 13th with Friday Night Fun. On Saturday, the track will host WDRA Summit Sportsman Bracket Racing.
