Daviess County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported assault Wednesday afternoon in the 11000 block of Kentucky Highway 54, Whitesville. Upon arrival, deputies secured the area and called in their Criminal Investigations Division. Evidence collected at the scene will be analyzed by the Kentucky State Police lab. The victim received treatment at the scene from local fire departments before being transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital by ambulance. Detectives urge anyone with information about vehicles seen at the Rooster’s Crow parking lot between 4 and 5 p.m. to contact them via email, Facebook Messenger, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.
