Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred just after midnight on US 62, west of Beaver Dam in Ohio County. Authorities say a 17-year-old from McHenry crossed the centerline while driving a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu, colliding head-on with a Dodge Ram driven by 28-year-old Diana Sanchez of Beaver Dam. The teenage driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Sanchez sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening and was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Troopers are working to determine if seatbelts were in use. The incident remains under investigation as authorities reconstruct the collision.
