An accident Monday night in Daviess County left a woman and two children hospitalized after a black SUV collided with their silver car on Highway 144. Witnesses reported the SUV pulled out of a tavern parking lot, causing the crash, and its driver fled on foot. Deputies identified the suspect as 41-year-old Christopher Hinton of Owensboro and found him hiding at a nearby residence. Hinton was arrested after deputies obtained a search warrant; he reportedly made incriminating statements. He faces charges including wanton endangerment and assault. The road remained closed for about an hour as emergency crews cleared the scene.
