(Owensboro, KY): Windy Hollow Speedway tied a ribbon on their third day of action on Sunday at the famed dirt track.
The track played host too the All-American Monster Truck Tour which hosted nearly 2000 fans on Friday and Saturday that were treated to the ground pounding action and family fun.
“We really enjoyed having the All-Star Monster Truck folks and fans out at the track over the weekend. The All-Star tour continues to be a highlight of our schedule, year in and year out,” said Trevor Hutchins, track promoter.
On Sunday June 29, Windy Hollow Speedway hosted six classes of dirt racing action that was highlighted by a $1000-To-Win Bomber Feature in memory of Jimmy Reynolds “The Bingo Bandit,” and Delmar Barnett.
The 15-lap feature was led flag to flag by Owensboro’s Jansen Morris, wheeling the No. 14 entry around the 3/8 mile track.
“This one means a lot,” said Morris. “I’m not racing every week because I’m focusing my attention on my kids’ go-cart racing, but this 14 is a good piece and I enjoyed driving it.”
