Some of the largest distilleries in the country like Buffalo Trace, Makers Mark and Angels Envy will be joined by some new brands like Silk Velvet and Fresh Bourbon on May 10 with VIP hour starting at 3 pm and general admission starting at 4 pm at the Owensboro Convention Center.

This weekend also includes several other bourbon culinary experiences like the dinner/cocktail pairing at Green River Distilling Company at $145 a person happening on May 9. Very limited tickets are still available for the new high-end dinner/bourbon pairing at Lure Seafood and Grille called Smoke and Oak on Thursday, May 8 and can be booked directly by calling Lure. There’s also the option to participate in the Birdies, bourbon and bbq golf fundraising event on May 9 at the Owensboro Country club benefiting Fight Light a Dozer, an organization whose mission is to help families cover costs with children battling cancer.
VIP tickets for the bourbon tasting portion of BBQ and Barrels are nearing sellout and are $120 and include special pours and bbq samples. Distilleries with the proper paper work can also sell bottles to attendees which gives you the opportunity to get your hands on bottles that you likely won’t see in stores!
