The Kentucky House is moving forward a bill that would lower the state income tax rate from 4-to-3-point-5-percent. The House voted Thursday with a vote of 90-to-7 in favor. The measure has largely been a push by Republicans since 2022 to decrease Kentucky income tax each year until it is eliminated. Governor Andy Beshear showed support for the measure due to the Commonwealth’s booming economy.
