Amendment Two is voted down as Kentuckians cast their votes on Tuesday. Amendment Two would have allowed tax funds to be used for private and charter schools. Lex18 reports Kentucky Students First released a statement Tuesday night saying, “Kentucky students deserve better, and our resolve to serve students over systems remains unchanged.” Governor Beshear stated, “Kentucky voters have once again definitively stated that public dollars belong only in public schools” and called on local leaders to “get serious” about fully funding public schools.
