A Kentucky lawmaker wants to pass a bill to keep sex offenders from participating in Halloween festivities. Democrat state Representative Chad Aull is planning to introduce a measure that would bar convicted offenders from handing out candy for trick-or-treat or attending costume parties that involve minors. Aull is including some exceptions in the legislation that would allow impacted individuals to be a part of celebrations with immediate family and co-workers. Aull says some other states, including Illinois and Georgia, already have similar laws on the books.
