A Republican sponsored bill is looking to make fluoride in drinking water optional. The measure was discussed in a joint committee hearing on Monday. Those in favor of the bill claim there are health dangers associated with fluoride. Those opposed state it is needed for the health of Kentuckians to prevent tooth decay. Kentucky has nearly 100-percent of the water system fluoridated. The bill is expected to make it to the 2025 legislative session.
