Resident complaints led to the arrest of two peo-le this week. According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department. on Tuesday around noon police executed a search warrant in the 1200 block of Helga Court in response to complaints from the public about ongoing drug trafficking. The residents, Rebecca A. Denson and Jesse R. Taylor, were home at the time of the search warrant. During the search, detectives seized a shotgun with ammunition, several meth pipes, burnt foils containing fentanyl, fentanyl pills, fentanyl powder, methamphetamine, several digital scales, “loaded” uncapped syringes, a baggie containing gabapentin pills, and US currency. The evidence located is indicative of an on-going drug trafficking operation. All the seized items were in common areas of the home that are easily accessible by the small children who reside in the home. Taylor also had 6 active arrest warrants, 2 of which were probation violation warrants involving Trafficking in Fentanyl and Possession of Methamphetamine. Denson and Taylor were charged, transported, and lodged at the Daviess County Detention Center.
