32-year-old man from St. Croix faces a preliminary charge of attempted murder after a Sunday night argument over a barking dog. Indiana State Police say they were called to a home just before midnight Sunday in the small Perry County town. Officers say Tyler Richardson went to confront his neighbors about their barking dog. At one point during the confrontation, James Morris walked toward the property line and was shot by Richardson with a pistol. Officers say Morris was visiting his in-laws who happened to be Richardson’s neighbors. Morris was sent to a hospital for treatment. Richardson faces several charges including attempted murder.
