Owensboro, KY (July 01 2024)- Windy Hollow Speedway hosted the Firecracker 30 presented by Phillips Enterprises on Sunday night at Windy Hollow Speedway. The event was a $1000-To-Win twin 15-lap feature for the Bomber division. The winner was determined by the best average finishing position in the two features.
In qualifying for the event, Owensboro’s Jeff Maysey grabbed the $100 fastest qualifier bonus with a lap of 19.825 seconds over Camden Rudd and Jacob Richmond.
In the first feature, Morgantown’s Jacob Richmond took home the win followed by Jeff Maysey, and William Basham.
As the field lined up for the 2nd feature, fans were treated to a firework show sponsored by Mark’s Fireworks and Steve Tong’s Home Improvement.
For the final feature, the field was inverted and the top finishers from the first race started in the rear of the field for the second feature. When the checkered flag fell, it was Camden Rudd taking home the win in the second feature of the night. Jeff Maysey finished in 2nd followed by William Basham.
When the results were tallied, it was Maysey taking home the $1000 winner’s purse with Camden Rudd placing 2nd and William Basham finishing 3rd overall.

Windy Hollow Speedway will return to action on Sunday, July 14th with Fischer’s Towing Fan Appreciation Night which includes $1,500 to win for the Open Wheel Modified Division plus activities, and giveaways for spectators and kids.
