A woman in Kentucky is facing charges for the death of her newborn baby. WDRB reports police were called to an IHOP in Bowling Green where a woman gave birth in a bathroom and tried to flush the infant down the toilet. The infant was found dead and the mother had left the scene. Shaniqua Caldwell was located in the parking lot of a Red Roof Inn. Caldwell allegedly denied being pregnant and stated she was related to celebrities. The woman was taken in for an emergency health evaluation before heading to jail for concealing the birth of an infant. The coroner will determine the baby’s cause of death.
