The president of an area Union is facing theft charges. According to media partner 14News, Daviess County Jail records show 48-year-old Andy Meserve was arrested Thursday and released Friday on a $25,000 bond. He’s facing two theft charges of an amount between $1,000 and $10,000. Meserve is listed at the president of USW Local 9423, which serves employees of Century Aluminum in Hancock County. Meserve is due in court May 24.
