experience! The evening will begin with the comedy of a special guest. Then, Keith Sweat will take over the stage and
perform his R&B hits! The Victory Theatre has been chosen as the prime location for this unique concert/comedy
experience!
Keith Sweat is an American Rhythm and Blues singer and songwriter who is known for hit songs that include
“Nobody,” “I Want Her,” and “Make it Last Forever.” Sweat is also credited as being one of the first performers in the
musical genre called New Jack Swing which was popular in the late 1980’s. In November 1987, 26-year-old Sweat
released his debut album Make It Last Forever which sold three million copies. The album included “I Want Her,”
“Make It Last Forever,” and “Something Just Ain’t Right.” Sweat’s second album, I’ll Give All My Love to You, was
released in 1990 and reached number three on the Billboard 200 chart with hit songs like “Make You Sweat,” “I Give
All My Love to You” and “Merry Go Round.” Sweat released other albums throughout the years including Keep it
Comin’ (1991), Get Up on It (1994), Keith Sweat (1996), Still in the Game (1998), Didn’t See Me
Coming (2000), Rebirth (2002) Just Me (2008), Ridin’ Solo (2010), Til the Morning (2011), and Dress to Impress (2016).
Sweat also made collaboration albums with artist Johnny Gill, Eddie Levert, and Gerald Levert with the artists calling
themselves LSG. They released two albums, Levert, Sweat, Gill (1997) and LSG 2 (2003). Sweat was also nominated and won several American Music Awards in 1991, 1997, and 1998. He also won a AMA award for favorite Male R&B Soul Artist in 1997. In 2013, Sweat received the Soul Train Lifetime Achievement Award.
