The Daviess County Public School Board unanimously voted to name Charles Broughton the district’s 18th superintendent during a special meeting Tuesday afternoon at at Daviess County Middle School. Broughton will assume his responsibilities on July 1st , following the retirement of current Superintendent Matt Robbins. Charles Broughton is the current assistant superintendent for Student Services at the Daviess County Public Schools district; Broughton’s responsibilities included serving on the Superintendent’s Senior Leadership Team and leading the Student Services Leadership Team. He also coordinated the district’s compliance with school enrollment and attendance laws and served as custodian of all student data and records. He also coordinated and managed the electronic student information system.
