In a significant development, Owensboro Public Schools has appointed Dr. Wendy Duvall as the district’s new superintendent.
This appointment comes after a year-long hunt, triggered by the criminal charges against the former Superintendent Matthew Constant. Transitioning from her interim role, Duvall will officially take on her new responsibilities starting in July.
Before joining Owensboro, Duvall served Todd County Schools as Assistant Superintendent and spent a substantial part of her career at Hopkinsville Middle School.
Stating her initial focus, Duvall emphasized forging solid community relationships, reflecting her commitment both as an individual and an education leader.
