In a major drug bust in Owensboro, eight individuals were arrested, including Pamela Bartimus, an employee of Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Kentucky.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Bartimus for allegedly stealing medication at work.
After obtaining a search warrant, a broad range of medications, meth labs, and drug paraphernalia were discovered at her residence.
Deputies encountered resistance, including an aggressive pit bull, who was later euthanized.
Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Kentucky are fully cooperating with authorities.
Sheriff Brad Youngman expressed relief at apprehending Bartimus, who had access to potent medications due to her employment at the hospice.
