A pedestrian on East 4th Street has died after being hit by a vehicle. According to the Owensboro Police Department, at approximately 3:31pm on Wednesday, OPD was dispatched to the 2000 block of East 4th Street regarding a collision with injuries. The caller advised a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The Owensboro Police Department, Owensboro Fire Department, and AMR responded to the scene. The pedestrian was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. The Daviess County Coroner’s Office was called to the hospital at approximately 4:08pm.
Members of the Owensboro Police Department Accident Reconstruction Unit are on scene investigating this incident.
