
A McLean County woman is dead following a two-vehicle collision Tuesday morning. Kentucky State Police Post 16 received a call at around 6am rom McLean County Dispatch about a two-vehicle collision on the US 431 bridge in Livermore. 19-year-old Austin C. Himes of Utica was traveling southbound on US 431 in a gray 2008 Chevrolet Silverado truck. The investigation determined, Himes lost control on the ice covered bridge and slid into on-coming traffic. 54-year-old Angela Gay Johnson of Island was traveling northbound on US 431 in a silver 2016 Jeep Compass. Himes struck Johnson, who became trapped inside her vehicle. First responders utilized equipment to extract her from the Jeep and performed life-saving measures. Johnson was pronounced dead on-scene by the McLean County Coroner’s Office. Himes was not injured. Both operators were wearing their seatbelts.
