A team at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in Frankfort is working to resolve problems with the new computer system installed this month at county clerk’s offices.
Employees at the Daviess County Clerk’s office and Clerk’s in the entire Commonwealth are dealing with daily computer glitches and delays in service.
Frustration is building as long lines await those who need to pay vehicle registration and more.

The Daviess County Clerks Office has new signs posted indicating the approximate wait times for the Auto Department.
Avoid the line by using the online renewal portal at https://drive.ky.gov/. Be sure to have your plate and title number.
Alternatively, the Clerk’s Office is accepting renewals by mail. Include your renewal notice, insurance card, and a phone number where you can be reached.

At this time, the Clerk’s Office is unable to renew any truck trailers due to fee errors. However, these renewals are not due until March.
