Tennessee based, Rackley W.A.R. has stepped up their NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series racing program for the 2024 season.
The team has built a new racing shop, strengthened their alliance with Chevrolet racing, hired Ty Dillon as the team’s driver and look to have a stellar season in 2024.
The only piece of the puzzle that was missing was the crew chief. The puzzle has been completed with this morning’s announcement of Shane Wilson as crew chief for the #25 Rackley W.A.R. Racing Shocks Chevrolet Silverado.
Wilson joins the team after spending 11 races in 2023 at Thorsport Racing as crew chief for Matt Crafton before departing the Sandusky, Ohio team in mid-June.
“I’m excited to be a part of a playoff team, and to be able to work with a Cup-caliber driver in Ty
Dillon,” Wilson explained. “In working with Willie Allen while we established the goals for this
new opportunity, I think the word is comfortable. That’s the feeling I get; it’s a good
organization.”
Dillon and Wilson previously worked together in 2012 and 2013 at Richard Childress Racing.
“I’m so excited to be working with Shane. He and I have been teammates in the past,” Dillon
said. “He’s a veteran crew chief with a lot of winning experience. He’s going to help us get on
the right path to success. He knows how to win at every level in NASCAR and I have a long-
standing relationship since his days at RCR.”
The NCTS makes its 2024 debut at Daytona International Speedway for the NextEra Energy 250 on Friday, Feb. 16
