On Thursday at 4:06pm, Patrol Officers met with a complainant at the Owensboro Police Department. The complainant had arrived to report her children had suffered physical abuse at the hands of a male acquaintance on two separate occasions in the 5400 Block of Red Mile Loop.
Officers gathered evidence of the alleged abuse and initiated an investigation. Officers responded to the 1600 Block of South Parkdale Drive and made contact with the male subject who was taken into custody. 35-year-old Michael Bermudez of Owensboro was arrested and transported to the Daviess County Detention Center on the following charges:
– Criminal Abuse 1st Degree – Child 12 or Under (3 Counts)
– Strangulation 1st Degree (3 Counts)
