The juvenile charged last month with Criminal Mischief at VFW Post 696 now faces new charges. According to the office of Daviess County Attorney John Burlew, a teen was charged on October 6th with felony Criminal Mischief (Vandalism) for an incident caught on video at the local VFW Post 696, and is currently being held in detention at the Warren County Juvenile Detention Facility. The juvenile was originally cited into court by Owensboro Police Department for the incident at the VFW, but has subsequently been charged with new recent offenses – thus the individual is now in detention. The juvenile has now also been charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Handgun by a Minor, First Offense. The individual’s court date is set for November 17, 2023, and the individual is expected remain incarcerated at least until that time.
