A joint effort blood drive is underway to help end shortages in the area. On Tuesday, the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center started teaming up with VFW post 696 and American Legion Post 9 in a friendly “Battle of the Vets.” On Friday, November 10th, a bloodmobile will be at each organization from 12 until 4pm. Now through the 10th, donors can also visit the WKRBC on Old Hartford Road and donate, indicating whether their contribution is for the VFW or the Legion. Whichever post gets the most units donated on their behalf will win the Battle of 2023.
