(Owensboro, KY)-Windy Hollow Dragway hosted two nights of drag racing over the weekend.
The weekend kicked off on September 15th with “Friday Night Fun” which included test-and-tune and a trophy race. In the trophy class, it was Dixon’s Ray Pryor taking the win over Owensboro’s Clayton Adams, who made his first passes of the season.
On Saturday, Windy Hollow hosted their final WDRA Summit Series points race of the 2023 season. The highlight of the night was Philpot’s Clay Johnson taking home his first career trophy at Windy Hollow Dragway in the Junior Dragster with older brother, Billy Johnson joining him in victory lane.

Windy Hollow Dragway will be back in action this weekend as they host the Ford Memorial Race and Reunion on Thursday Night, Friday and Saturday.
Windy Hollow Dragway will host a Friday Night Fun on September 22nd which will include a test-and-tune session, Pro Tree Bracket Race (Ford Powered Only) and also a trophy race. Gates open at 5:30, with track hot at 6:30.
On Saturday night, Windy Hollow Dragway will host 7 Classes of WDRA Summit Sportsman Drag Racing including Super Pro, Pro, Factory Street, Minton’s 3rd Gen Auto Sportsman, JKV Core Buying and Automotive Recycling Trophy, Junior Dragster and Motorcycle. The Outlaw Gassers will also be making their final appearance of the season at Windy Hollow.
