(Owensboro, KY)- The pits and grandstands were filled on Friday with competitors and spectators for a night of Test and Tune on Friday at Windy Hollow Dragway. The track was hot with average speeds over 130mph on the 1/8 mile track.
The night ended with a performance from the band Funky Luck who performed in Rough River Metal Works Victory Lane.
Friday’s events were in preparation for Saturday’s “Mayhem at the Hollar” heads up racing event that will include a guaranteed purse of $10,000 to the Winner. Classes include Small Tire, Big Tire, Street Car and an Outlaw Junior Dragster Class.
Entries for the event have traveled from as far as Louisiana to race for the big money at the Owensboro track.
Today’s on-track activity begins at 4pm. General admission for adults is $20, with ages 10 and under free.
