(Middlesboro, KY) — An indictment against an accused killer has been handed up by a Bell County grand jury. Erica Lawson of Middlesboro is accused of killing her 17-month-old daughter. Baby Elena was taken to Middlesboro Hospital late last month with injuries consistent with sexual assault. She had also been beaten. The toddler was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Knoxville but died two days later.
