An Owensboro man has been arrested in connection to a firearm discharge incident. According to the Owensboro Police Department, on Friday at around pm, officers responded to a Firearm Discharge in the 300 Block of Hale Avenue. Officers interviewed witnesses, the suspect, and processed the scene for evidence. Based upon the investigation, a verbal argument escalated when the suspect discharged a handgun in the vicinity of multiple residents. Officers collected and logged into evidence a firearm and a shell casing. The male suspect was identified as 73-year-old David Cooper, He was charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (2 Counts).
