Ohio County native, Mikey Gray is synonymous around the local racing community.
Gray’s background includes dirt track racing, asphalt racing, and demolition derbies.
Gray is known as “The Chickenman” due to being an avid eater of chicken and always cooking chicken for his friends and fellow competitors.
“I love to cook chicken and eat chicken so everyone started calling me “Chickenman,” said Gray.
Gray competed in the Hancock County Fair Demolition Derby over the weekend and was awarded the “Mad Dog Award.”
‘The Mad Dog award is like the hard charger award,” said Gray. “It’s given to the person who goes out, has big hits and puts on a show for the fans.”
Gray said it felt great to hear fans chant “Chickenman” during the event.
“I was definitely the fan favorite,” said Mikey Gray.
Gray plans to keep compete in indoor and outdoor derbies throughout the rest of the 2023 season.
